Received free thru Goodreads Giveaway I do not normally go big for vampire stories but the Hungarian name of the protagonist intrigued me me being Hungarian by birth so I reuested it Turns out to be a good reuest the story was easy reading and fun The first thing I had to accept was the author's idea that humans and vampires peacefully co exist under special laws to keep vampires from terrorizing the living Well OK I can do that After that it was a pleasant little mystery and fun reading good mystery too it kept my attention up to the end I won this book in a goodreads drawingA vampiric gentleman detective from the Continent is relaxing in his train compartment when a beautiful redhead forces her way inside She is being pursued by a vampire and a human in one of those damsel in distress deal that the 19 century loved so muchThere's the usual sorts of shenanigans that happen on trains although nobody runs along the roof There's a nice twist at the end and a good segue into the next upcoming book in the series The author does a fairly good job of setting up the rules of her world in an easily understood fashion My only uibbles were that the detective really didn't do a whole lot of detection I also thought the climactic fight scene needed some work I still enjoyed it and look forward to the next book
